Thomas Duffy Named 2013 AGU Fellow

Thomas S. Duffy, alumnus of the Geophysical Laboratory, has been elected as a 2013 American Geophysical Union (AGU) Fellow.  Only one in a thousand members is elected to Fellowship each year.  Duffy's election into this prestigious class of Fellows is an outstanding achievement.

The 2013 Fellows have been announced on the AGU website and in the July 30 issue of Eos.

The newly elected class of Fellows will be honored on Wednesday, 11 December at the 2013 Fall AGU Meeting in San Francisco.  Details about the Honors Tribute will be made available to the public in the future.

Duffy was a postdoctoral associate at the Geophysical Laboratory from 1992-1995.  He continued as a visiting investigator until 2000 and has been a CDAC collaborator since 2003.  We congratulate Thomas on this extraordinary acheivement.
